WHAT IS POWDER COATING?
Powder Coating is a mixture of finely ground particles of dry pigment and resin that can be color matched to virtually any color.
The powder is sprayed onto a substrate that is electrically grounded. When the powder travels through the paint gun it becomes electro statically charged, adhering to the grounded substrate.
The substrate is then transferred into our 120’ oven designed to accommodate parts up to 16’ in length. The heat of the oven melts the powder and becomes fused to the substrate. The result is a uniform, high quality finish that is much more durable and environmentally friendly than liquid paint.
WHY POWDERCOAT?
Powder Coating adds more resistance to scratching, fading, cracking, chipping, and rusting compared to other finishes. Virtually any color can be produced including metallics, textures and wrinkles that can hide imperfections in your part. Powder vs. liquid is less expensive and much safer for the environment. There are no solvents or chemicals in Powder and up to 99% of the overspray can be recycled in our reclaim booth. Powder is also corrosion proof and resistant to most chemicals, unlike liquid paint.
